Insadong After Dark
Insadong is beautiful by day, but it comes alive at night. Once the galleries close and the lanterns switch on, the alleys fill with the smell of grilling meat and frying jeon, and the neighborhood turns into one of Seoul’s most atmospheric places to eat and drink.
What to Eat at Night
Street snacks like hotteok and skewers are great for a stroll, but the real evening belongs to sit-down Korean bars. Look for a place serving freshly made jeon and a proper makgeolli list — that combination is the soul of an Insadong night. Grilled bulgogi and bubbling stews round out the table.
For the full experience, find a spot with outdoor yajang seating so you can eat with the alley all around you.
Where to Go
Dalmakdalmak sits one minute from Anguk Station Exit 6, right in the middle of it all. We serve handmade jeon, bulgogi, and over twenty makgeolli, with famous yajang tables in the alley, every day from 3 PM to midnight.
It is our favorite way to spend an Insadong evening — and we think it will be yours too.
